One of our favorite lunch places in the St. George area is Farmstead, a French-styled bakery/café. Located just a couple of blocks from the historic St. George Tabernacle, the restaurant offers a covered patio on which to enjoy a Turkey/Havarti croissant sandwich and brownie, or a number of other tasty bites or beverages.

Farmstead Bakery was launched by restaurateur Chris Connors and chef Chris Herrin, who met more than a decade ago in Las Vegas. They decided to open a place together and decided on a bakery when their search for a good baguette in southern Utah didn’t turn up much.

The Bakery is open Wednesday through Monday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (closed on Tuesdays). It is located at 18 S. 200 West in St. George, with additional locations in Hurricane and Springdale.
